Bio-Rad Laboratories’ Life Science Group is looking for Technical Editors:

Bio-Rad Laboratories’ Life Science Group is seeking experienced life science technical editors for both staff and part-time freelance positions in a Marketing Communications environment. These are not writing positions. Assignments may range from copyediting to developmental editing and fact checking. Projects range from promotional fliers and product catalogs to technical publications, and must be reviewed for adherence to in-house style guidelines. Strong copyediting and project management skills are highly prized. Online editing experience and familiarity with Quark XPress or InDesign software are preferred. Ph.D. preferred, though anyone with a strong science background and demonstrable knowledge of applications and products used in biotechnology and life science research will be considered. Familiarity with management of web-based content is a plus. Positions require the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline and to work closely with writers, marketing staff, and graphic designers. Staff positions offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, and legal plans. The work will be on-site in Hercules, CA, located in the San Francisco East Bay area (30 min from San Francisco, 15 min from Berkeley).
