The WaterFront Center, a not-fo-profit marine education and sailing community center located in Oyster Bay, NY is searching for a blogger. The position would be during our peak season approximately from May through September (dates are flexible). If you are a college student looking to get into the world of media or publishing this is an excellent opportunity, with tremendous exposure!

The blogger reports directly to the Executive Director, and the job focuses on events, people and happenings going on at the WaterFront Center. During the course of a year over 10,000 people visit our location to participate in any number of our programs, including: a marine education program for school and groups, learning how to sail, participating in our junior summer programs, renting a kayak or sailboat, taking a captained charter on one of our boats or a sail on our National Historic Landmark, the Christeen.

Yulmedia is currently on the lookout for talented mothers who can write and who are into gadgets and technology in all its myriad facets. The opening is for a blogger job writing for a major Canadian Tech and gadget blog. The successful candidate will be given the responsibility to write posts with a frequency of two posts every week. The required posts should be between 200 to 250 words. The company is looking for bloggers who can write in English and those who can write in French, those who can write in both languages may have a slight advantage. Other skills that may put you in their radar is knowledge of basic HTML and image editing, familiarity with WordPress and experience with SEO.

Care2, Inc. recently put out a very, shall we say, peculiar ad. The company is looking for what it calls “passionate” bloggers to write for millions of “passionate” readers with their blogs. With such a frequent use of the word “passionate” I was beginning to think it may be included in the blog or company’s name in some way. But it just looks like the people at Care2 are just really, erm, passionate about finding the right people.

Care2 says it is the largest and most trusted online community that empowers people to get into a healthier lifestyle and also being more cause-oriented. The bloggers Care2 is looking for will write for the following categories:

* Animal Welfare
* Civil Rights
* Environment & Wildlife
* Global Warming
* Health Policy
* Human Rights
* Politics
* Women’s Rights

The applicants should be knowledgeable, insightful, and passionate (there it is again!) about the said categories. They should have impeccable writing skills and be familiar with WordPress and other content management tools. There is a 300 word minimum for each published content. compensation is on a per post basis with bonuses for high traffic and comment posts.

A very nice benefit for Care2 bloggers is that they will be allowed to repost what they’ve written on their personal blogs 30 days after publication. There should be a link to the original post though and the proper attributions must be done.
