Dear Superstar Editor – you are organized and possess better grammar skills than I do.
You are going to get me to my goal – I am writing a non-fiction work and I will be finishing it in 90 days. The baseline content will be from my blog.
Your assignment will be to first scrape the ~200 posts (generally between 200-800 words each) I have authored in the last 4 years and evaluate the categories these posts have been labeled. Then, to organize them into a proposed “Table of Contents” and identify what chapters they would fall into and how much writing would be needed to transition the pieces. I am totally aware that the blog was written toward a broader audience than the print book is geared to. Your assignment also includes determining which ones you do not feel should be part of the final publication, ie, better suited for a separate book.

McCann is one of the oldest and biggest advertising businesses in the world. In Sydney, we’ve been furtively re-shaping. We have a whole lot of work coming out in the second half of 2010 that people simply would not expect from us. We’re evolving our approach, processes and culture to create something very different and meaningful.
We’ve kept our heads down this year, focusing on action – not words. And off the back of this focus, we now need to find some likeminded vagabonds to help us on our new trajectory.

Want to write for an ad agency? There’s an opening for a blogger who will be tasked to write 250 to 500-word articles on the advertising industry. You will be supplied with topics and background information, but you are to write and further research the topic yourself.
The job is pretty light, since they expect a blog post every two week or so. They don’t have a website up yet so I can’t give you a link. Nonetheless, if you’re interested, please forward examples of your work, rates and any futher questions to kelli.nelson [at] jwt.com.

Nice work, nice rate – this is a job you should definitely apply for. However, if you’re not a US citizen then don’t bother applying. Save your five minutes filling up the form. Otherwise, good luck!
