Got an interesting letter from a band member. Basically, he needs someone to review their band online to get extra exposure. I’m not sure if this is a paid deal, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to ask! Email him at itaisim [at] gmail.com. Here’s his full letter:
Hi,
My name is Itai Simon, a member of the instrumental electro-pop music band named ‘Rendezvous’, i am looking to find/hire a creative writer to take upon himself/herself to write a review on the band, music, artistic vision and so on…
This review/article can be based (besides other things of course) on our facebook, myspace, youtube and reverbnation pages, which includes a bio, pictures, links, comments from fans, and most importantly… audio tracks and video clips!
We just finished recording our debut album and it is being mixed at this very moment by Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears) in London.
Our goal is to have reviews and articles about our band on the internet so we would be in a position to search for publishing deals and record labels, but first we need someone to write a review or an article about our band and music…!
After reading some of your very interesting blogs, reviews and articles on the internet i wonder if you would like to rise to the challenge
Please let me know what you think.

Most of the jobs posted here are US-centric, but here’s a nice opportunity for those who are in other countries and/or multilingual.
If you know French and love poker, then Delegate2 needs you to write for their French poker blog. They need writers to do five, 250-word posts in French each week on an ongoing basis. Topics need to include tips, news, rules etc.
The second project is for an ongoing Romanian football blog. This project involves writing 2 articles in Romanian per day during the Romanian Liga 1 season and 2 – 3 articles per week out of season.
Both projects are with Delegate2 and the pay rates are negotiable, but will need to be made through Paypal.
Applicants will need to send a 250 word sample in the respective language and topic to jobs@freelancewriters.info including details of their pay rates. Good luck! PS, I did some Googling, these guys sound legit.

When I got the email I thought , oooh cool, a contest! When I read it further though I realized that it’s just a nice euphemism for “job application with incentives for those who get hired”. Anyway.
The Poppington Post is holding a blogger “contest” to find sharp, witty bloggers to regularly contribute content to their info-tainment magazine. Their major topics include the latest urban trends, celebrity gossip, events, music, fashion, and local hot spots.
To qualify, you must be a good writer, dependable, creative, and good with deadlines. You must also be on top of general pop, hip hop and R&B cultures.
To apply, all you have to do is email your resume and a sample of your work (blog, editorial, etc.) to jobs@poppingtonpost.com.
More information about the contest after the jump!
