I am currently working as the Cleveland Restaurant Examiner for www.examiner.com. I also write for www.suite101.com. I have a B.A. in Journalism and English from Ashland University . Since college I have written for Park View Federal Bank’s newsletter, The Viewpoint. I have also put together promotional materials and created a website for a small trucking company. I have two blogs, one on wordpress (http://mandyhevener.wordpress.com) and one on MySpace (http://blog.myspace.com/smileybug503.) Many of my published works can be found on my website (www.mandyscrazyplanet.com.)

Three examples of my most recent writing can be found here:

While in college, I did many activities that enhanced my writing and communicating skills. I worked as an intern in the Ashland University Public Relations office. Besides the accomplishments outlined in my enclosed resume, I have been writing news stories since high school, where I worked as an editor for both my schools’ newspaper and yearbook. In college, I wrote for the school newspaper my freshman year, before settling for an editorial position on the yearbook staff. Throughout my tenure as both sports and administration section editors for the yearbook, as well as my internship at the Public Relations office, I have gained plenty of experience in organizing and writing.

I currently run a blog that is updated daily with an average daily hit rate of 200/day. I started this blog in August 2008. I understand HTML, CSS, FTP, etc. I typically work on the WordPress platform, but also know Blogger. In addition, I host my own blog on GoDaddy.com and understand the ins and outs of getting the blog up, running, designed, and maintained. I can work with clients to ensure that the blog is reaching the target audience via networking and promotions.

My ideal situation would be to maintain blogs for small companies, especially ones that require product reviews. Female-oriented consumers are preferred.

I have extensive experience in ”Corporate America” and in Commercial Real Estate in which I can add extensive experience to blogging on these topics.

I would love the opportunity to speak with you in greater detail. Please feel free to contact me.
