Tom Head
I’m a full-time freelance writer with eight years of experience, I’m author or coauthor of 22 nonfiction books, I cover civil liberties for About.com (where I also substitute as the race relations guest blogger), and I’ve been involved in managing online communities (and/or their precursors) since 1989. You can find my resumé here:

http://civilliberty.about.com
http://racerelations.about.com/bI’m interested in blogging and/or writing other online content for an established online entity of some kind. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advice
- Books (especially world lit)
- Freelance Writing
- Gender, Feminism, and LGBT Issues
- Humor/Satire
- Jackson, Mississippi
- Macs
- Philosophy (and related topics)
- Pop Culture
- Race and Civil Rights
- Science Fiction
- Social Justice and Activism (and related topics)I am not interested in writing a new general-interest civil liberties blog or other general-interest civil liberties site, as I don’t want to compete with my own site on About.com, but I could be amenable to writing blogs on specialized civil liberties topics (such as immigration, LGBT rights, the death penalty,
et. al.).I prefer to be paid on a revenue-sharing basis, but may be open to other arrangements if the price is right.
If I sound like I might be a good fit for your company, let’s talk. I can be reached at civiltom[at]gmail[dot]com.
