Barry over at wurk.net is looking for a blogger to take over blogging at blogging.wurk.net:
Managing and growing the wurk.net network is taking up more of my time and resources than I expected – and that means I’m not able to give this blog the attention it deserves. And it does deserve a *lot* of attention. Why? Because blogging as a long-term career is one of the most exciting opportunities around right now, and I think blogging.wurk.net offers a completely different focus on the subject than many of the other blogging ‘how-to’ sites out there.
That’s our USP. It’s a good one. All we need to do now is flaunt it.
For start, the focus of this site isn’t about finding the best place to put your ads. Nor is it about how to make your ads jump out further than the content. Sure, monetising blogs is something we can cover, but it’s not about making a quick buck from ugly PPC ads. At all. There are already too many sites out there that can help you do that. blogging.wurk.net is about helping people take a more grown-up, long-term, sensible approach to blogging as a career option. Whether that’s blogging as a back-bedroom startup, blogging on behalf of clients, or blogging as part of a *real* job.
So, if you’ve got blogging experience, and you think you can investigate this whole blogging careers idea (and you know you can take on an extra blog), give me a shout. You’ll get to manage it like it’s your own blog, inject your own personality into it, and run it exactly how you want to run it.
In terms of payment, I’m offering the same as the rest of the network blogs for now: ie. 100% of Adsense revenue (paid direct to your Adsense Publisher ID), plus up to 50% of any direct sponsorship or co-branding revenue when it starts to roll in.
To apply, visit wurk.net for the original job posting.
