Blogging job for techie mommies

Mommies who are tech heads are a rare breed. But if you’re one of these very special people then you’ll be interested in this new blogging job.

Yulmedia is currently on the lookout for talented mothers who can write and who are into gadgets and technology in all its myriad facets. The opening is for a blogger job writing for a major Canadian Tech and gadget blog. The successful candidate will be given the responsibility to write posts with a frequency of two posts every week. The required posts should be between 200 to 250 words. The company is looking for bloggers who can write in English and those who can write in French, those who can write in both languages may have a slight advantage. Other skills that may put you in their radar is knowledge of basic HTML and image editing, familiarity with WordPress and experience with SEO.

This blogging job is a paid position and Yulmedia is requiring applicants to submit 2 short writing samples that are related to tech or gadgets as well as any links to their published work online. The applicants will also be asked to explain how familiar they are with the subjects previously mentioned.

Hi, I have a masters degree in English,having prior experience in article writing/re-writing i.e. spinning,proof reading,content writing and a few editorial jobs to my credit.Meeting deadlines with quality, has always topped my priority as I believe that’s the only way to get further work. I have been described as being a very open minded person with key diplomacy skills for writing objective reviews. My dissertation was conducted in E-marketing for education and enabled me to gain a solid understanding of SEO. I work as a lecturer so I am used to reading, marking and providing feedback and am now looking for a blogging job in a technical field such as yours.

  10. For a good resume always print your resume on standard letter size, white or ivory rag paper and the resume professionally typed, but not typeset, with plenty of space between paragraphs, and allow for adequate margins.

  11. I am particularly interested in this position as I have a keen interest in new technology, tech and gadgetry. I am also a mother of a sixteen month son.

    I have worked for Nissian- Play with the City. Urban Guide- Glasgow. Vice media and Vice Magazine. At present I work for ilovelegion.com, a ski and snowboard media company and Legion Industries- a media and web design group.

    I have vast experience of working with WordPress, HTML and SEO as well as other programmes as Flash, CSS, and Dojo.

    I believe this opportunity would provide me with the experience and work time I long to fill.
