This is a 6 month contract
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce seeks a blogger/ journalist who will drive the posting of content in support of the Chamberâ€™s Campaign for Free Enterprise. This position will target audiences of entrepreneurs, small business owners, and the self-employed.
Develop and maintain web content on topics related to the free enterprise system including: stories of the self-employed, small business owners, and business innovators; align web presence and conversation with the Campaignâ€™s social media efforts; work with colleagues to translate policy positions into conversational posts; create original, written and video reporting; and work closely with the Communications Division to ensure alignment of blog posts with greater Chamber message.
Bachelorâ€™s degree and related experience in online journalism, web editing, blogging and HTML website maintenance; the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines, multi-task and work independently; attention to detail; strong news judgment; and quick and accurate editing/writing skills.
