When I got the email I thought , oooh cool, a contest! When I read it further though I realized that it's just a nice euphemism for “job application with incentives for those who get hired”. Anyway.
The Poppington Post is holding a blogger “contest” to find sharp, witty bloggers to regularly contribute content to their info-tainment magazine. Their major topics include the latest urban trends, celebrity gossip, events, music, fashion, and local hot spots.
To qualify, you must be a good writer, dependable, creative, and good with deadlines. You must also be on top of general pop, hip hop and R&B cultures.
To apply, all you have to do is email your resume and a sample of your work (blog, editorial, etc.) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
